Administrative assistant

Job Description
-Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques
-Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies
-Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
-Determine and establish office procedures and routines
-Schedule and confirm appointments
-Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
-Answer electronic enquiries
-Order office supplies and maintain inventory
-Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures
-Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
-Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations
-Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas
-Open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other material and co-ordinate the flow of information
-Provide customer service
