Job Description

The Toronto Psychology Clinic is looking for highly motivated, talented, and compassionate Psychologists and Psychological Associates to join our growing team of professionals! We deliver evidence-based, culturally-informed services to adolescents, adults, and couples. Our focus is on providing interventions that integrate across well-validated methods of psychotherapy models (e.g., EFT, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, contemporary psychodynamic). We are currently seeking severalPsychologists/Psychological Associates to join our team on a full or part-time basis. Opportunities to start part-time while maintaining other work is also available. If you’re looking for food, Downtown Toronto is home to some of the best restaurants in the world, many just a short walk from the Toronto Psychology Clinic office ➢ We encourage and support personal growth and work-life balance for our associates by providing mentorship so they can learn about services in private practice as well as peer consults - discussing issues like work-life balance, and effectively providing services virtually. You will have the opportunity to engage in both individual and peer consultation that includes individual and couple therapy focused consultation groups, as well as opportunities to start and run group/workshop of your own interest ➢ Our clinic values relationships, autonomy, and advocacy for mental health services. Many of our therapists have gained the self-confidence, skills and felt empowered to start their own practices with a strong focus on areas of mental health that they felt marginalized in some way - providing a unique service to our community ➢ We provide psychological interventions to BIPOC and marginalized people using anti-racist and anti-oppressive frameworks ➢ The clinic runs seminars with invited experts in a range of areas based on the interests of the associates ➢ Our clinic offers a diverse range of referrals and opportunities for collaboration with a multidisciplinary group of professionals. We offer the option for you to work remotely on a temporary or permanent basis. What YOU will bring as Psychologist/Psychological Associate: ● MA / PhD / PsyD in a Social, Clinical, Counseling, etc. program ● Registration with the CPO ● Minimum 3 years of experience in assessment, treatment planning, and provision of psychotherapy services for adolescents and/or adults ● Training in evidence-based interventions and a strong interest in psychotherapy integration ● Excellent case conceptualization skills ● Candidate must be motivated, mature, and ethically sound ● Family and Couple therapy experience would be an asset ● Fluency in a second language such as Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Farsi, Bengali, Mandarin, or Cantonese is an asset ● BIPOC folx and those who identify with a marginalized group are particularly encouraged to apply What WE offer: ● A diverse caseload of treatment and assessments catered to your specific areas of interest and specialization ● A waitlist of cross-section clients from different social backgrounds ● Valuable ways of helping our clinicians build professional networks through internal processes that allow them to create strong client referral sources through our internal referral system ● Associates will also benefit from the Toronto Psychology Clinic website content marketing which hosts a high volume of web page visitors ● Opportunity to consult with a group of therapists from diverse therapeutic models including but not limited to; CBT, DBT, EFT, Mindfulness, Contemporary Psychodynamic as well as diverse clients that include child, adolescent, adult, couple, and family therapy ● Opportunity to learn or further improve your skills for treatment and assessment of under-serviced groups including LGBTQ+, immigrants, racial and ethnic minorities ● Weekly/biweekly group consultations as well as opportunities for training ● Opportunity to collaborate with like-minded clinicians in a supportive and dynamic environment with team members who value work / life balance, happiness, humour, and healthy lifestyles ● Generous and flexible fee-splitting structure that recognizes contribution, commitment, and initiative ● Fully electronic charting, scheduling, payments, and billing ● Thorough administrative support that includes scheduling, billing, IT support.
