About this role: 

The Program Coordinator leads and oversees programs, including NBMade, the retail and branding toolkit, and other upcoming initiatives at Excellence NB. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Coordinator ensures the successful development, execution, and reporting of these initiatives to achieve organizational goals.


Roles and responsibilities:

  • Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with stakeholders, Excellence NB members and government officials to enhance organizational reach and impact.
  • Manage existing programs such as NB Made, the branding and retail toolkit, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Develop and execute new initiatives contributing to the organization's strategic plan and mission.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to promote initiatives and drive cultural and economic growth in New Brunswick.
  • Collaborate with external teams to ensure cohesive and effective initiative promotion.
  • Create and implement standard operating procedures.
  • Develop data-driven projects and work plans, utilizing analytics to inform decision-making and optimize initiative outcomes.
  • Develop and oversee the shipping and distribution partnership with third parties.
  • Assist in planning events as needed.
  • Secure program funding.
  • Develop and deliver sponsorship agreements to support initiatives.
  • Prepare and present monthly reports on activities, including initiative performance and partnership development.
  • Some administrative tasks to effectively manage initiatives include maintaining accurate contact lists, administering surveys, and managing the generic inbox.
  • Strive for excellence and innovation to ensure high-quality program delivery.


Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Administration, Economics, Project or Program Management, or other related field
  • 3+ years of experience managing programs
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is preferred
  • Proven experience in managing and developing successful initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Ability to manage relationships with members, negotiate and oversee shipping logistics.
  • Experience in the nonprofit sector is preferred
  • Experience using Google Suite and Slack is required. Adobe, Shopify and other online platform assets.
  • Capacity to thrive in a remote work environment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects 
  • Excellent judgment in setting priorities, problems, and solution identification
  • Advanced verbal and written negotiation skills
  • Understanding and interest in community-building, economic development, cultural preservation, New Brunswick heritage and basic marketing practices
  • Strong ethics and strives for innovation and excellence in all areas of responsibility.
  • Strong organizational skills and reliable work habits


Additional considerations:

Location: Remote, with some in-person events and meetings, preference for New Brunswick-based candidates

Job Type: Full-time (37.5h/week), flexible work schedule

Salary Range: $62,000 to $68,000 depending on experience and agreed scope for the position

Paid Vacation: three weeks

Yearly training and development funds
