Are you a Business Intelligence Architect for a new opportunity?Are you looking for a new contract opportunity?We are pleased to offer you a new contract opportunities for you to consider: Business Intelligence ArchitectStart: ASAPEstimated length: 5 monthsLocation: HalifaxWork activities may be performed remotely; however, on-site attendance may be required (Barrington Tower, Halifax)AdvantagesYou will have an opportunity to work with a leading employer in the local market.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping architecture documentation, leveraging frameworks/templates based on DHW standards, and/or prior HDR project documentation.Collaborating with the technical project manager on an Agile based approach to the implementation of HDR platform environment changes/enhancements.Scheduling, scribing and documenting architecture-related interviews and working sessions, as required.Performing external architecture-related research, as required.Collaborating with the HDR project team members and other key stakeholders to further develop HDR data architecture (how data in the environment will be modeled, managed and protected) that will meet requirements and scale to meet an array of future needs.Privacy of personal health information and security are of paramount importance for the HDR. The BI Architect will therefore collaborate with other team members including the Senior Privacy and Security Advisor and key project stakeholders to ensure ‘Privacy by Design’ through all relevant components of the architecture.Leading the configuration and implementation of HDR architecture components.Providing technical leadership to data and cloud engineersProviding written status reports which outline activities completed to date. Reports to include any outstanding issues/risks that may impact the achievement of objectives at the current time or in the immediate future.Facilitating access to all draft materials on request and ensuring that adequate feedback is obtained from appropriate stakeholders prior to delivery of any final documentsDetailed knowledge transfer of HDR platform architectural components, processes, and documentation to identified HIPP staff and other key stakeholders.Monitoring HDR environment costs and recommending/implementing cost reduction strategies.Design, Technical Oversight And Support For Additional HDR CapabilitiesHDR architecture diagrams and supporting documentation to be leveraged for the ongoing operational support of the HDR platform.Updates to HDR Data and Meta-Data Architecture diagrams and supporting documentation, as required.Updates to HDR Functional Architecture diagrams and supporting documentation, as required.Architecture-related interviews and working sessions documentation.Research notesQualificationsOther deliverables as required.A minimum five (5) years of recent experience (in the last 8 years) in Information Technology (IT) roles that focus on large volume data platforms, emphasizing BI and data analytics.A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the definition of technical, data and functional architecture in a BI and data analytics context.A minimum of two (2) years of experience working in the health sector in a BI and data analytics context.Recent experience (in the last 2 years) working with Microsoft cloud-native tools, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Active Directory and MS Purview, is considered an asset.Strong knowledge of security models and approaches for data encryption associated with the transmission, use, and storage of highly sensitive data in a ‘big data’/data lake environment is considered an asset.Experience working on initiatives with multiple complex stakeholder groups representing various leadership levels, business units, and departments/organizations.SummaryDo you have this experience?
