Are you an Application Architect Insurance looking for a new opportunity?Are you looking for a new contract opportunity?We are pleased to offer you a new contract opportunity for you to consider: Application ArchitectStart: ASAPEstimated length: 12 monthsLocation: North YorkHybrid remote work- couple of times per month required in officeAdvantagesYou will have an opportunity to work with a leading employer in the local market.ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate design, development (including code reviews), testing and deployment activities, working closely with multiple vendorsDetermine technical feasibility and perform analysis and evaluation of proposed solutionsImprove business and software operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changesReview and validate vendor assessmentsPerform capacity planning and coordinate performance testing accordinglyOversee and assist the vendors and project teams in all test phases (system testing, functional testing etc.)Participate in deployment strategy development with the Deployment primesBuild executive presentations and communicate release changes (technical) to the support teamsOccasional assistance to the production support teams to resolve production issuesQualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software / Computer Engineering or similar.Experience:Recent experience working as a Solution Architect or a Team Lead in a large enterprise IT organization mandatoryStrong software development/programming background with significant hands-on experience in building large-scale production systems mandatoryCloud computing – nice to haveKnowledge:Familiarity with company Ordering systems (OrderMax, OMF, CPQ, MDM, CSIDE) and/or client SystemsFamiliarity with AWS and/or GCP cloud platformsUnderstanding of software architecture patterns and practices – mandatoryGeneral understanding of network concepts (OSI model, basic network principles, etc.)General understanding of hardware / hosting platforms and virtualizationGeneral understanding of IT standards and frameworks (ITIL, ETOM, Zachman, TOGAF etc.)General understanding of TM Forum TMF620, TMF622, TMF633, TMF41, TMF679, TMF648, TMF680Skills:Excellent communication skillsStrong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong technical writing skillsProven leadership skillsExcellent ability to formulate ideas and influence vendors at designExcellent ability to articulate technical problems to non-technical audienceAutonomous, tolerance to a fast paced, fast changing environmentStrong team player; ability to facilitate, negotiate and work within a multi-domain team environmentAbility to ramp up quickly on new technologies, languages, frameworks and toolsCreativity and ingenuityBilingualism an assetSummaryDo you have this experience?
