NOTE: This position is hybrid in Winnipeg.Job SummaryThe Business Analyst is responsible for gathering requirements of client needs. The Business Analyst defines, analyzes, documents and prioritizes all client business requirements and works with the Solutions Architect and development team to determine the best solution. This is a union roleResponsibilitiesPlanning and running small to large client projects Identifying and assessing client's business requirements Clearly defining scope of work to be completed Documenting detailed requirements for the development team to work from Breaking down the requirements into bite size small stories Collaborate with Solutions Architect and development team to create solutions. Review completed solutions to confirm requirements have been met Present solutions to involved stakeholders Work with other Business Analysts to review and improve standards Work with customer, development leads to review project timelines, and project statuses Work with Data Migration Analyst to ensure success of data migration process Work with Solutions Architect to ensure required solutions are delivered on time and accurately Participates in Scrum meetings, including Sprint Planning and Retrospective meetings Follow all SCRUM standards and processes that are defined for the role Willingness to travel to meet with clients across North America, Australia and the UK Other related duties as assigned RequirementsCompletion of post-secondary education in Computer Science, Business Administration or an equivalent of 5 years BA experience Excellent client service and strong communication skills having the ability to draw out the needs and requirements of clients' Proven experience with high level planning, problem solving and analysis Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban Minimum 1 year of experience working in an Agile environment Minimum 1 year of experience consulting across cultures Minimum 1 year JIRA or similar software experience Experience working with nearshore teams Demonstrated ability to analyze, model and interpret data Exceptional organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously A natural curiosity and desire to understand "why" things are the way they are Quick learner that can be put into new situations and quickly become a domain expert Analytical skills along with being able to conceptualize, design and document new features and business requirements Must possess sound decision-making and prioritization skills High work standards-work ethic, task completion, consistency, follow up, accuracy/attention to detail, time management Personal management skills-accountability, self-management, adaptability, creativity, initiative, implementation skills, and problem solving Familiarity with office 365 suite PreferredExperience in working with Unions is a plus Worked with database or technology skills Excited about this role but don't meet every single requirement? Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
