Administrative Assistant

Job Description

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Administrative Assistant with our dedicated team of Legal Professionals at our head office location in Saint John, New Brunswick.

In this role you will work collaboratively with the law department team and senior management on legal matters, and play a key role ensuring the team meets deadlines and delivers high quality work.


Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance in the day-to-day administration of the department
  • Assist lawyers in all stages of an in-house legal practice, including corporate, commercial and real estate transactions
  • Contract management and administration, including preparation of legal documents
  • Maintain compliance files and registrations necessary to comply with federal, provincial and state regulations
  • Assist with maintenance of legal databases
  • Organize, plan and prioritize legal work requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Post-secondary education completion
  • Relevant work experience within a professional services firm, business or government agency focused on complex administrative work
  • Willing to regularly learn new programs and processes, and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to appropriately multitask and prioritize
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • High degree of professionalism and attention to detail
  • Proven team player
  • Ability to work independently
