Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves safely and efficiently operating a truck to transport goods and materials to various locations.

Hours : 30 hours per week

 Duties:

• Load and unload goods
• Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Pay and receive payments for goods
• Perform brake adjustments
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Credentials/ licenses

• AZ class license

Communication systems experience

• Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
• Trip recorder (on-board computer)

Transportation / travel experience

• Long-haul
• National
• Provincial / territorial
