Truck Driver
Job Description
Experience:
- High school graduation certificate, or equivalent experience, is required.
- Experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of Vacuum Trucks, Vacuum Trailers, and high-pressure equipment is preferred.
Certificates: * Air Brakes Endorsement (required)
- Driver's License Class 3 and 5 (required)
- Fall Protection Certificate(preferred)
- Confined Space Certificate(preferred)
- Power Line Hazards Certificate(preferred)
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate (preferred)
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate (preferred)
Skills:
- Transport and handle dangerous goods
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
Documentation Knowledge: * Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
- Driver logbook
- Bill of lading
- Accident or incident reports
- Dangerous goods occurrence reports
- Trip reports
