Truck Driver

Job Description

Experience:

• High school graduation certificate, or equivalent experience, is required.
• Experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of Vacuum Trucks, Vacuum Trailers, and high-pressure equipment is preferred.

Certificates: * Air Brakes Endorsement (required)

• Driver's License Class 3 and 5 (required)
• Fall Protection Certificate(preferred)
• Confined Space Certificate(preferred)
• Power Line Hazards Certificate(preferred)
• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate (preferred)
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate (preferred)

Skills:

• Transport and handle dangerous goods
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch

Documentation Knowledge: * Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)

• Driver logbook
• Bill of lading
• Accident or incident reports
• Dangerous goods occurrence reports
• Trip reports

• Able to work outside in variable temperatures and weather conditions

• Own vehicle/ own transportation
