The Scarborough Subway Extension will bring the TTC’s Line 2 subway service nearly eight kilometers farther into Scarborough. It will extend from Kennedy Station to Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road, providing quick and seamless transit for those heading into and out of the downtown core and those travelling within Scarborough. The extension will replace Line 3 (the Scarborough RT), helping to reduce travel times and improve access to jobs, schools and other key destinations throughout the city.As part of the Scarborough Transit Connect project based in Scarborough, Aecon is looking for a qualified Testing and Commissioning Manager to join our team. What You Will Do Here Assembling of a testing and commissioning team. Review of the Commissioning Plan. Confirming the testing and commissioning schedule. Integrating the commissioning plan with plans of Train Control and Vehicle suppliers. Review of test, verification and performance test forms. Review of commissioning progress management forms and performance testing. Sample witnessing of tests and performance testing. Review of the training agenda and scheduling. Review of the operations and maintenance manuals. Sample witnessing of seasonal performance testing. Review of the commissioning reports. Attending commissioning meetings. All other activities required to develop and implement a compliant and effective testing and commissioning plan. What You Will Bring To The Team Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in the design or commissioning of vehicles, systems, equipment and facilities of similar scope and complexity. Licensed or authorized by the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO). Familiar with and knowledgeable about the standards and requirements for design and commissioning work. Ability to interpret and execute Project Agreements. 5+ years experience leading a team of professionals. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to perform in a fast paced environment.
