Team Lead Payroll (Hybrid)
Job Description
As a Team Lead Payroll, you will be responsible for providing oversight and leadership to the Payroll Administration team, and the processing of full cycle payrolls in Canada, the United States, Ireland and the UK. This includes ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll, jurisdictional compliance and leading the team in the completion of day-to-day tasks, while prioritizing other activities. You will provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the team members to support their overall performance and career development.

Your Responsibilities
- Ensure employees are paid accurately and on-time: coordinating payroll processes; directing the collection, calculation, and entering of data in the payroll processing systems.
- Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential and accurate recordkeeping.
- Manage payroll team member responsibilities and accountabilities by monitoring workflow, team assignments, processing deadlines and managing performance.
- Strong understanding of federal, provincial and state legal requirements; monitoring adherence to compliance requirements, advising management on needed actions.
- Provides consultative services to Human Resources and the Business Lines on Payroll related queries and acts as a supportive educator in regards to payroll compliance.
- Contributes to the design of processes and programs to support payroll processes.

Your Experience
- Post-secondary education. CPA and/or APA certification an asset.
- 5+ years’ experience in payroll field, or equivalent experience in accounting with some payroll processing experience. Financial acumen is required.
- Experience with Workday is preferred.
