As a Systems Integrator you will: Plan, lead, coordinate and evaluate highly specialized projects, including Digital Modernization, to cover any aspect of systems administration including: performing critical evaluations and develop recommendations, managing technical change, installation, configuration, maintenance and tuning, and troubleshooting and resolving incidents across on premise and Cloud technology Provide senior expertise in the research, evaluation, cost/benefit and options analysis, specifications and acquisition of software, hardware, and IT technology Design and implement infrastructure and solutions for server upgrades, consolidation and virtualization, email, mobility, secure remote access and other internet working requirements Update or create new documentation including design, architecture, build and test documentation Analyze technical issues and resolve problems with senior technology staff and vendor specialists Monitor all I&IT systems in order to identify or recognize production problems both proactively and reactively Provide authoritative advice to all stakeholders throughout the full life cycle of multiple systems platforms. Provide expertise on current and emerging IIT trends, operational methods and technologies, including hardware platforms, software, networks, databases, applications common business systems, technology infrastructure and operational services, testing and implementation methodology to determine and select options for complex platform solutions development for complex integrated environments. Support risk management principles and best practices to anticipate and understand the potential for risk in system failure/critical incidents; to develop risk management strategies and protocols; to mitigate and minimize risk; and to lead resolution of critical incidents when they occur. Lead Agency program priorities, business operations, OPS IIT solutions, standards, processes and strategies, disaster recovery planning and contingency testing, and technology trends to direct the resolution of analysis and design challenges, define project scope, ensure project compliance and system integration, and ensure that critical business objectives are met. Possess knowledge of project methodology and project management skills to provide project planning and leadership on concurrent organization initiatives. Possess good oral and written communications to lead complex client, vendor and stakeholder consultations; provide authoritative and persuasive technical advice; maintain effective internal and multi-jurisdictional client relationships; prepare and present complex technical information and recommendation to technical and non- technical audiences, including senior management, clients and other stakeholders. How do I qualify? Mandatory These positions may require the incumbent to be on call. Technical Knowledge and Skills: experience in Cloud services, migrations and integrations experience building, deploying, managing and supporting a large highly available enterprise server and infrastructure across multiple geographical sites ability to forecast demand on infrastructure services and performance, develop and implement infrastructure design to optimize performance, and review and recommend infrastructure upgrades and changes understanding of multi-platform, multi-operating system, multi-site interconnection and integration issues, network technologies, security issues, data recovery, communication protocols, desktop technologies and associated operating systems understanding of leading-edge technologies, technology developments (trends and new products) and design criteria knowledge of IP networking concepts, TCP/IP addressing concepts/design, DNS, HTTP(S), TLS, SSL, FTP, DNS, DHCP and other protocols knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and change management methodologies, is an asset experience developing technical documentation knowledge of inter-networking design and experience in implementation of server and desktop environments using Microsoft Exchange, SQL, IIS, Enterprise Backup solutions, and storage solutions (SAN, NAS) knowledge of server and desktop virtualization technologies, clustering, partitioning and experience providing system administration backup and recovery technologies and procedure experience providing authoritative expert technical leadership to the design, maintenance and deployment of major complex enterprise system platforms including setting technical direction, developing technology plans, technical standards, and providing technical oversight throughout the design and development stages knowledge of complex highly integrated systems platforms including Windows client and server Operating systems, Microsoft SQL Server, Exchange, SharePoint, Exchange, Team Foundation Server, and others knowledge of and experience with several of the following technologies: VMWare virtualization, Active Directory, Clustering, Group Policy, Certificate Services, Citrix, VPN and secure remote access, web-based, off-the-shelf applications knowledge of storage technologies, hi- availability technologies, cloud technologies, and technology developments (trends and new products) knowledge of current and emerging I&IT trends, security and contingency principles, operational methods and technologies (i.e. hardware platforms, software, networks, databases, applications common business systems, technology infrastructure and operational services, testing and implementation methodology) Analytical and Problem Solving Skills: you can evaluate next generation solutions based on technology, risk and business value, and make recommendations of new technologies, trends, methodologies and concepts you can lead and conduct research on new technology developments, assess and evaluate needs ability to identify problems and gaps in I&IT system technical specifications, documentation, configuration and services to propose and deliver innovative solutions identify root cause, determine and resolve technical malfunctions and recommend solutions• able to assess ongoing system platform performance, identifying necessary changes/improvements, and overseeing implementation to sustain platform performance understanding of security best practices for technology design, development, deployment and operation of critical infrastructure ability to identify and assess the impacts of new solutions or enhancements on existing services and infrastructure for performance, sustainability and robustness in a client server environment ability to analyze technical quality of systems design; and ensure consistency and compliance of business solutions knowledge of risk management principles and best practices to anticipate and understand the potential for risk in system failure/critical incidents ability to ensure the configuration and security best practices for technology design, development, deployment and operation, for I&IT solutions and application platforms.
