Social Media Specialist

Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a creative, self-starter, and a proactive individual with experience managing various social media platforms, and retreat listing sites. You will report to the Marketing Manage and work with our staff to increase marketing presence across our doula school and agency brands, provide visual content and expand our reach. You will participate in creating all aspects of building a loyal following for the brand, including social media campaigns, content creation, day to day management of Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok etc. This is a fantastic learning opportunity for a person who is passionate about birth, doula care and yoga and who has experience in this field. Skills and Qualifications: A good eye for design and the ability to source and edit images An aptitude for writing Professional customer relations Social advertising experience A solid understanding of SEO and content marketing Must have experience managing social media for small businesses Should be open-minded, a self-starter, enthusiastic, adaptable. Have exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail Must be able to work both as part of a team as well as independently, as this role is remote Responsibilities: Brand management: contribute and manage brand on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Pinterest etc.), online blog, web promotions. Manage retreat listing sites Create social media campaigns for our programs Set up posts in scheduler for approval Contribute and consult on creative content to all online platforms (social media, website, etc.) Research and analyze competitor marketing and sales materials. Maintain & update attendee demographic reports and event summary reports Research newsworthy information about the yoga and birth/parenting markets Liaise with the director and our design team to produce materials when needed Stay abreast to online trends, events and content to share on social media (i.e. viral videos, pop culture happenings) Start Date: ASAP for 10-12 HRS per week. Compensation: Hourly rate based on experience. Job Types: Part-time, Freelance Salary: $20.00-$30.00 per hour Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week Benefits: Flexible schedule Work from home Schedule: Monday to Friday Experience: Marketing: 1 year (required) Work Location: Remote
