If Braze sounds like a place where you can thrive, we can’t wait to meet you.What You'll DoThe Braze Platform Infrastructure team is responsible for building the tools and systems that are core to our highly scaled, distributed monolith. Our work is at the intersection of monolith modularity, multi-tenant data store interfaces, and ownership of our job queueing system. Work on this team is extremely high leverage: the majority of our organization uses our systems and tooling to understand, operate, and maintain workloads that are massive scale - billions of messages and data processing jobs per day; one of the world’s most highly scaled Mongo deployments.As a senior engineer on the team, you will work with us to build new functionality that will make it easier, faster, and safer to build for a high scale, growing customer base, and expanding technology footprint. Additionally, you will work closely with other engineers in the organization, who integrate the tools and interfaces we develop. You will be responsible for building well-designed, extensible code; and shaping best practices both on the team and within the broader engineering organization.Who You Are5+ years of development experience with a strong focus on back-end systemsPrior experience working as a leader in a team environmentStrong understanding of distributed system design, data structures, and algorithmsA self-starter with great communication and organizational skillsBonus:Professional experience with any of Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, Redis, Memcached, Sidekiq, Go, React Professional experience building distributed systems at scaleWhat We OfferFrom comprehensive benefits to remote availability to flexible time off, we’ve got you covered so you can prioritize work-life harmony.
