Preferred: Youth, Visible minorities, Persons with disabilities, Indigenous people, Newcomers to Canada Job description The Restaurant Manager will be in charge of overseeing, coordinating, organizing, and assessing all operations entailed in the effective and smooth-running of food services establishments. These professionals plan and direct the execution of a wide variety of tasks including overseeing the financial aspects of the restaurant, such as incomes and expenses, managing revenues, and being in charge of employee schedules and payroll. As the Restaurant Manager one of your main goal is to ensure top quality service and products which is what increases the establishment’s recognition, customer affluence, and, eventually, profits. Additional Responsibilities: Train and supervise staff Ensure all food safety procedures are strictly adhered to according to sanitary regulations Work closely with management to meet revenue objectives Implement appropriate strategies to resolve adverse trends and improve sales Maintain safe working conditions Follow company policies and procedures regarding the handling of cash, property, products and equipment Audit inventory levels to ensure product availability, and order products as necessary Qualification & Skills Required: Bachelor Degree or equivalent 2+ years’ managerial experience in the restaurant or service industry At least six (6) months year experience working in the Jamaican Jerk Food Environment Have affiliation or association with Jamaica Jerk Food products and culture Excellent verbal & interpersonal communication Skills Customer service & team-oriented Must be well organized & creative Must be able Multi-tasking and engage in problem-solving Recordkeeping Profitable thinking and commercial awareness Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends Exceptional organization and leadership skills Dependable and reliable Candidates must be permanent resident or a citizen of Canada.
