Login to your McGill Workday account and apply to this posting using the Find Jobs report (type Find Jobs in the search bar).Job SummaryThe Webmaster will be responsible for maintaining ACTOR’s web presence, updating and creating content as needed, troubleshooting site issues, and working with our team to ensure our website effectively communicates our research and educational initiatives.Typical FunctionsOversee and manage the ACTOR project's website, ensuring optimal functionality, navigation, and user experience.Design, build, and implement new pages or features as needed using the Squarespace platform.Regularly update website content with the latest project updates, news, and orchestration resources.Work with the ACTOR team to develop strategies to enhance web presence and reach.Coordinate with the team to design and maintain an accessible, engaging, and educational web environment.Troubleshoot and resolve website issues in a timely manner.Implement SEO best practices to improve visibility and site traffic.Monitor website analytics and generate reports to guide content and design strategies.Ensure the website is fully compliant with web standards and laws, including ADA accessibility regulations.Qualifying Skills And AbilitiesBachelor's degree in Music or related field is required.Deep understanding of and experience with timbre and orchestration research.Demonstrated experience managing and updating websites using Squarespace.Knowledge of web standards, SEO principles, and accessibility regulations.Familiarity with digital media software such as Adobe Suite.Strong organizational and project management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
