On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to ensure that applications used for the delivery of programs in the health sector are operational, maintained, enhanced, optimized, and supported.

Responsibilities:

?ۢ Build and maintain repository of manually executed and/or automated test cases based on project requirements and change requests

?ۢ Assist business users in User Acceptance Testing

?ۢ Create and maintain performance testing initiatives and adhering to best practices

?ۢ Ensure the quality of applications based on defined scope and project requirements and meetings with project stakeholders

?ۢ Ensure compliance with government IT policies, procedures and security standards

?ۢ Communicate regularly with Project/Team Representatives and participate in Quality review sessions

?ۢ Stay informed regarding project direction and context as applicable

?ۢ Attend team status meetings

?ۢ Attend working group meetings as required

?ۢ Review project/release requirements and perform Gap Analysis

?ۢ Work with various IT resources during the design, development, and implementation of IT Projects/Releases

?ۢ Develop User documentation and procedures

?ۢ Develop testing and defect reports at the end of each testing cycle

?ۢ Assist in training of new QA resources

?ۢ Work with the existing QA team members to ensure a knowledge transfer at the end of the assignment

?ۢ Assist other QA resources with testing

Qualifications:

Mandatory:

?ۢ A University degree in Computer Science, Health Sciences, Business Administration or similar disciplines is preferred, however, an equivalent of education and experience may be considered

?ۢ A minimum of 8 years of demonstrated testing experience that includes the following types of testing: functional, performance, connectivity, regression, integration, and automation

?ۢ A minimum of 8 years of demonstrated experience in quality assurance and system testing best practices and methodologies

?ۢ Excellent communications skills (written and oral) in English

Desired Qualifications:

?ۢ Demonstrated experience in security relating to data confidentiality and client privacy as it pertains to databases and application design and development

?ۢ Demonstrated proficiency in ???open source?۪ performance testing tools for web applications and web services like JMeter

?ۢ Demonstrated advanced experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) in a QA environment

?ۢ Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Assurance frameworks and experience with project methodologies such as Waterfall, Waterscrum, Agile

?ۢ Demonstrated experience with supporting the User Acceptance testing process including working with the Business Owners and execution of Test Cases/Scripts, Defect Reporting and Resolution tracking etc.

?ۢ Demonstrated experience in HP Quality Center and HP WebInspect or similar product

?ۢ Demonstrated experience with Automation Testing tools ??? Eg. SOAPUI

?ۢ Demonstrated experience working with Provincial Health Care and Electronic Health Records applications in a Canadian context

Hourly Rate: $65 Per Hour.
