The Role
As our organization continues to grow, we are seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team of IT professionals in Saint John, New Brunswick. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Project Management and Business Analysis, this is a wonderful opportunity to show off your experience managing IT solution implementations, and expand your leadership skills, provide exceptional value to the company, and accelerate growth.
As a Project Coordinator you will be responsible for the efficient, effective, and reliable delivery of technology-based projects and service requests to various global business lines. This position requires a highly motivated and industrious individual with a range of knowledge and experience in technical and project management concepts. Strong analytic and communication skills will be key as you will work at all levels within the organization to ensure we are delivering on our committed priorities and generating positive business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assign tasks to internal teams
- Assist with schedules and resource allocation management
- Work with the Project Managers and implementation teams to identify and apply continuous improvement opportunities within the project delivery lifecycle
- Coordinate and manage small to medium size projects, project tasks and service requests that are both IT and business related
- Produce related deliverables such as status reports, delivery schedules, resource schedules, risk and change logs
- Perform administrative tasks, such as organizing meetings, taking meeting minutes/notes, and following up on important decisions and action items
- Coordinate with 3rd party vendors for project and/or service request deliverables according to plan
- Work closely with internal business units and facilitate communication to ultimately ensure successful delivery of the projects and/or service requests
- Provide support to peers as required during large scale project deployments
Qualifications
- Work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role
- PMP/PM certification considered an asset
- Experience with software administration or configuration considered an asset
- Well-rounded understanding of technical concepts and methodologies considered an asset
- Proven ability to deliver projects successfully throughout the full project lifecycle
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems, manage time efficiently and meet deadlines as required
- Excellent communicator who can effectively influence others and productively resolve various customer, project, and technical issues
- Strategic mindset and the ability to provide direction with the right sense of urgency
- Dependability with a great work ethic, demonstrated initiative, ownership of issues and an exceptional attitude
- Must be self-directed and able to manage competing priorities
