At CoLab, we help mechanical engineering teams bring life-changing products to market years sooner. Our product, CoLab, is the world's first Design Engagement System (DES) - a category defining product that Engineering teams use to engage in meaningful, productive design conversations, catch preventable mistakes, and get to market faster. Our customers include the largest engineering organizations in the world such as Ford, Johnson Controls, Komatsu, and Polaris in the industrial equipment, consumer products, automotive, aerospace & defense, and shipbuilding industries.
As a Product Manager, you will shape the requirements for new ideas, guide build team projects to ensure desired product outcomes, and work with product marketing and success to launch finished features to customers. What you'll do:
- Complete customer and user research, maintain roadmaps, brainstorm solutions to problems, and discuss proposals and designs for new ideas with cross-functional teams
- Write clear and concise product requirements and create marker sketches to capture the vision, goals, and key elements of new products and features
- Represent business goals and solutions; work cross-functionally to solve challenges in feature development and arrive at the optimal outcome for the product and our customers
- Collaborate across many teams at CoLab to communicate product requirements and deliver features, striving for the best customer experience, and with willingness to make smart compromises as necessary
What you'll need:
- 3+ years Product Management experience
- Track record of working closely with multidisciplinary teams (design, development, QA, security) to successfully deliver new product features
- Ability to understand complex problems and shape simple solutions
- Experience working closely with cross-functional teams to define product strategy and roadmap
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A mechanical engineering or product design background would be considered an asset
