Use critical thinking to evaluate and understand our product specs, and communicate efficiently to iterate on them with the product team to improve and refine them from a design perspective when applicable. Communicate openly and frequently with team members across the entire company to exchange ideas and gain a deep understanding of both user needs (investigators and customer success) and data structure (engineers). Deploy strong visual design skills to create a compelling and efficient UI, and deep empathy and user experience knowledge to find ways to present our data heavy and complex flows in an efficient and delightful way. Manage tight timelines, evaluating when and how to bypass traditional product design steps (user flow diagrams, prototypes, etc), in order to quickly come up with high resolution mockups using the existing product framework and design system. Judiciously figure out when the existing libraries and components are lacking and only integrate new elements when they are truly necessary.
