The store is an important and integral service providing products and service to the community of Patuanak. Job Title: Manager, C-Store – Patuanak. Job Summary: The Manager, C-Store Patuanak is responsible for the daily management and operation of the Patuanak C-Store. This includes achieving profitable sales results, promoting superior customer service, supervising staff and making decisions on hiring, training, salary administration, performance management, development, and employee relations. Furthermore, the Manager is required to provide gas reports and monitor fuel prices. Reports To : Director, Retail. Scope of Responsibilities: Store Management Report accurate and timely information on operations to Head Office. Follow and enforce all company policies and established procedures in the store operations. Understand all information in the daily reporting of store operations. Implement and enforce established daily operating procedures to ensure store is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well kept. Ensure all merchandise is stocked and displays are attractive, priced correctly, and displayed in a safe manner Monitor cash over/short and inventory shrinkage. Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner. Managing and motivating a team to ensure efficiency; Managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control; Ordering inventory with reasonable margins Analysing and interpreting trends to facilitate planning; Monitoring Fuel Prices Providing Gas Reports Record sales figures, for data analysis and forward planning; General office duties, including o Deposits and balancing tills of C-Store, Restaurant and General Store o Ensuring cleanliness and store efficiency Employee Management Staffing; such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, as well as providing or organising training and development; Motivate, encourage, and challenge store employees. Supervise and discipline all store employees, including assistant manager, according to company policy. Conduct meetings with employees as needed. Ensuring standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met; Resolving health and safety, legal and security issues; Updating colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues; Touring the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers, and identifying or resolving urgent issues; Skills and Qualifications: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED). 2-4 years of experience in the customer service industry or retail industry would be considered and asset. The ability to adapt quickly to new situations. Strong verbal communication skills. Enthusiastic attitude with a strong work ethic. Ability to stay calm in stressful situations. Commitment to building relationships with people from all walks of life. Motivated and adventurous personality.
