Job Description

In a typical day, YOU will:

Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
Enhance our customer's experience and commitment to brand loyalty by providing product expertise, relevant parts recommendations and regular communication of current and upcoming parts promotions
Manage parts inquiries and correspondence effectively over the parts counter, through email and by phone in a timely and courteous manner
Manage the daily functions of the parts operation, including sourcing, procuring and ordering parts, following up on backorders and credits, conducting inventory counts, processing cores and warranties as well as building hydraulic hoses for both internal and external customers
Provide on call service as required, at times on weekends and evenings

Must-haves for this role:

Post-Secondary Education and experience in a warehouse environment and forklift experience
Highly safety conscious with mechanical aptitude or background in automotive/heavy equipment preferred
Knowledge of hydraulic hose building would be an asset
Team player with effective communication and strong interpersonal skills
Customer centric and highly organized with attention to detail
Self-starter with strong initiative and a mindset for continuous improvement
Sense of urgency and adaptable to consistently changing priorities in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Computer literate with proficiencies in Microsoft Word and Excel
Knowledge of CAT SIS, or experience with Toromont parts operations would be an asset
Flexible, willing and able to work rotations and on call hours in support of the business needs
A valid Driver’s Licence with a current clean Driver’s Abstract
