Tacit Knowledge is a thriving private therapeutic practice based out of Beaumont, Alberta - we also have a satellite office (in Edmonton). We provide a variety of mental health services and are currently looking for an Associate (Independent Contractor) who can offer 1:1 and couples counselling to teens and adults. Our services are offered in-person and virtually. Our clients typically live in the Beaumont, Leduc, Sherwood Park and south Edmonton areas, but may also come from other locations. As an Associate, you will decide how many counselling sessions/week you would like to offer. You set your own schedule (days, evenings or weekends), and decide what types of client issues you would like to support. We would love it if you will provide in-person sessions in an office setting of your own arrangement/choice (must be in south Edmonton, Sherwood Park, Leduc or Beaumont areas). We would allow you to use our Beaumont office location, for up to 6 months, while you get your own office location arranged. We would also ask you to provide sessions virtually. This is an excellent position for someone who has a home-based or store-front office setting and who would like to increase their workload. Tacit will provide you with the business infrastructure that you require - new clients, a scheduling program, marketing exposure, a virtual platform, billing/payment programs, etc. Tacit will handle all of the daily tasks/responsibilities associated with running a counselling practice - you can just focus on the hands-on work with your clients. If you are interested (but it is not a required expectation), Tacit can provide you with the opportunity to grow your skills - you can begin to facilitate Group Therapy Sessions; Community Workshops; and PD Development Training Sessions. You can also learn more about the Neurofeedback Training/Therapy sessions that Tacit offers. As an Associate with Tacit, you will enjoy the independence of being your own boss, without the isolation of working alone. As part of our "team" environment, you will have the choice of participating in various fun/light Tacit-hosted team activities throughout the year; and you will be able to engage professionally with others who are as skilled and knowledgeable as yourself, on an ongoing basis. Associate contracts are based on a split fee percentage scale (50/50 to 80/20, in favour of the Associate) based on experience and the number of sessions offered per month. The ideal candidate for this position would be an experienced therapist (psychologist, social worker, therapist, certified counsellor, etc) who would like to avoid/step away from the costs and hassles involved with running their own practice. Our Associate will ideally have a minimum of 10 years of clinical experience; they will have (minimally) a Master's degree (or equivalent); they will be registered in good standing with a governing body; they will be able to provide a clear Children's Services Intervention and Criminal Records Check; and they will be regularly connected to an ongoing Supervision process. Equivalents will be considered if the candidate can describe how their qualifications will be a good fit with the services we offer.
