About The Role

We’re looking for a Manager, Broker Financial Solutions (BFS) to join our growing team!

As a Manager, Broker Financial Solutions, you will provide a wide range of tailored financial solutions to Intact’s insurance brokers in accordance with BFS policies and transaction structures. You will take charge of the deal analysis, proposal, negotiation, and deliverable of financial solutions to achieve the strategic objectives of Intact and its broker partners. In this role you will develop strong relationships with Intact’s broker partners, regional business teams, as well as legal and tax departments.

This position is a full-time permanent position, the successful candidate can be based in any one of Intact’s main offices nationally.

Here Are a Few Ways You'll Make a Difference

• Lead and coordinate the execution of BFS financial transactions including following leads, modelling, negotiation and providing creative solutions. Responsible for full-scale transaction planning and execution (including the strategy, financial structure, due diligence and integration initiatives).
• Analyze, recommend, and execute investment decisions related to loans and strategic distribution investments. Develop tailored financial agreements that meet the needs of all concerned parties.
• Identify and analyze financial, business and tax risks and other concerns.
• Ensure compliance with Intact’s Policy and Authorization process by completing required financial analysis, transaction memos and obtaining required approvals.
• Build relationships and support brokers in determining their strategic, operational, and financial objectives – focusing on support for growth and profitability targets.
• Monitor loans and financial obligations of the brokers under the incumbent’s responsibility. Identify, recommend, and implement necessary solutions to maintain profitability of the existing investments.
• May be required to participate on the board of directors of strategic broker investments.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education: Finance, MBA or equivalent
• Designation: CPA (CA, CMA, CGA), CFA
• Solid financial modeling skills (Microsoft Excel)
• Prior experience in mergers and acquisitions, financing, business valuations
• Strong financial analysis skills combined with general knowledge in accounting concepts and principles (taxation knowledge is a bonus)
• Bilingual (French and English) Need to interact on a regular basis with an English-speaking clientele and colleagues across the country.
