Job Description We currently have a great new opportunity for a Junior Test Engineer to join our team of Operations Test Engineering Specialists. You will support production of a suite of products and develop hardware and software skills in order to support the full range of production test responsibilities within a manufacturing environment. You will work on continuous improvement initiatives, influence production test yields resulting from the analysis of existing unit production data, and make recommendations for alterations either to the production processes, test methodology or unit design. You can also expect to: Product Test Strategy and Planning: The definition of the production test flow and ESS regime, which meets the requirements of production volume and rate, customer quality requirements, technology requirements and program cost and delivery targets. Test Design: Test equipment procurement, test equipment and methods development, test fixture design, test equipment commissioning and acceptance, together with associated test documentation such as test procedures and TE support documentation. Technical Support: Provide leadership in the resolution of test process, test equipment and product performance issues adversely impacting quality, cost or delivery targets. Training: Test Engineering will provide the necessary technical training to production personnel in the operation of test equipment and associated procedures. In addition, training will also be provided in product specific fault diagnostics. Qualifications Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent. Experience and knowledge in software development using one or more of the following languages: CVI, C++, C# , Lab View, SQL, TestStand, JTAG, VB.net; Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment Strong communication skills Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills; attention to detail; Enthusiastic collaborative contributor, willingness to learn new skills, and strong sense of ownership Experience/Interest or Knowledge in below are considered an asset: Experience and knowledge in test equipment and/or hardware development Experience in troubleshooting electronics with various standard equipment (meters, oscilloscopes, analyzers) Experience and knowledge in measurement and instrumentation Experience and knowledge in MS Project, ClearCase/ClearQuest, JIRA, Git, SPC Additional Information Security Clearance Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
