This position reports directly to the Commercial Department Manager for the Moncton, NB location. The position involves working on a full range of projects which would include commercial, government and institutional marketsDuties And Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited ToProvide leadership for assigned projects in regard to cost, schedule, quality, safety, and contract performancePrepare estimates of materials, labour and equipment based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings and specifications.Preparation of proposal documents, adhere to tendering procedures, examine and analyze tenders.Establish and maintain excellent relationships with all stakeholders including Black & McDonald team members, clients, consultants, trades, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and the community, while keeping them informed of relevant information.Plan, prepare, monitor, and manage construction schedule and milestonesEnsure work is performed in compliance with applicable standards – i.e. HSE regulations, company policies and procedures, and contract requirementsMonitor and report on progress, labour productivity, work outcomes, budget, cost, and forecastEnsure material and equipment are available to tradespersons.Secure electrical business in New Brunswick and visits to potential and existing accounts to generate business.Travel to various sites or clients to undertake the aboveUpdate Estimating Computer Program (ACCUBID)Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and consultantsOther duties as assignedCompetency RequirementsCommunicates EffectivelyCustomer FocusProblem Solving and InnovationTeamwork and CollaborationEducation RequirementsThe Ideal Candidate would have one of the following: Degree or Diploma in Project Management, Journeyperson Electrician, Construction Management or Electrical EngineeringWork Experience Requirements3-5 years of in the Electrical Industry would be considered an assetSkills, Abilities, And Other RequirementsConstruction scheduling, planning, and executionProject structural design interpretationBusiness operations processesEstablished division practices, procedures and techniques.Organization and time managementMust be able to obtain a Level II Secret clearanceIntermediate user of MS Office (Word, Excel, Project)
