JMT Consultants Inc. is a growing structural consulting firm seeking a motivated Steel Detailing Project Manager to join our dedicated team. We offer an exciting relocation expenses package for individuals outside of the Winnipeg area. We will also consider the opportunity to work remotely for the right candidate. We are looking for an experienced Steel Detailing Project Manager to oversee the production and completion of large-scale projects. Being a multi-tasker with excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills would be best. You could effectively manage a team to finish their work efficiently and within deadlines. At the start of each project, you will collaborate with other department heads to discuss the scope and budget. Then you will monitor each phase, ensuring the staff works efficiently and that the final product meets our client’s expectations. Responsibilities: Coordinate with fabricators, engineers, and architects to meet project requirements Manage RFIs and Change Orders Prepare drawing packages and issue them to the client per scheduled delivery dates Work directly with the operations director to ensure client satisfaction Determine project roles, responsibilities, and deadlines for each team member Make sure that the project is being completed effectively, on time, and within budget Coordinate changes and be willing to adapt if necessary Keep teams committed, motivated, and productive throughout the project Qualifications: Advanced level of knowledge of Tekla Structures 3-5 years of prior experience in project management is desired 5+ years experience as a Steel Detailer – willing to consider candidates who can demonstrate significant experience in a related field Experience in structural and miscellaneous steel construction and fabrication and the ability to read drawings Proven project management and coordination skills Self-motivated and able to complete multiple tasks with minimal guidance Deadline-driven with an attention to detail Requirements: Diploma/certificate Canadian Citizenship/Legally able to work in Canada We thank all applicants who apply; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
