Desktop Support Technician
Job Description
Our IT Department is looking to recruit an IT Desktop Tier 1 Support Technician to support our Corporate, Warehouse and Retail Store Systems. We are looking for an individual with exceptional customer service and communication skills. THIS POSITION IS ON SITE. As our IT Desktop Support Technician, you will be responsible for: · Providing Hardware & Software Desktop Support (both remote and on site). · Maintaining all computer, printer, and phone equipment. · Maintaining system documentation. · Setup and roll out of all new systems. · Maintaining end user management for our Shortel VOIP System. · Audio and Visual Equipment. · License Management and Procurements for all licensed software. · Administration and Configuration of Office 365. · Mobile device support. · Work with vendors and contractors on various leased/contracted equipment and software. · Procurement and Billings of IT Equipment to various departments/companies. · Deployment of custom software. · Providing after hour support (rotating on call weekends). Qualifications (Technical): · Microsoft Office Packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access). · Advanced knowledge and hands on experience with Windows 7, 8.1, and 10. · Advanced knowledge and hands on experience with Apple Products (from Desktops to Phones). · PC and Mac hardware repairs/upgrades. · Installing and troubleshooting Symantec Antivirus. · Experience using Android and other Mobile Devices. · Managing the Shortel VOIP phone system. · Proficient in troubleshooting issues over the phone. · Proficient using remote desktop support tools. · Experience using Help Desk Software. · Basic networking experience (Layer 2/3). Qualifications (Other): · Minimum 2 years’ experience in a technical service/support role. · Degree/Diploma or Industry Certificates (i.e. A+, N+, MCP’s, ITIL ) · Strong problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks. · Must be well organized. · Live within a decent driving distance of our Corporate Office located in the Burlington Area. · Vehicle in good working condition as you will be traveling to various locations in Ontario. · Must be willing to work on a flexible time table.
