This role sits within LBC Capital, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank.
The primary focus of the Booking Operations Specialist is to use their deep understanding of the business' rules and processes to facilitate booking of the transactions in the system. The successful candidate will find solutions to problems and process improvements as well as test and implement them. The Booking Operations Specialist is a self-starter, results driven, and customer focused to meet business performance targets.
As an Operations Specialist, you demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills and work collaboratively with fellow peers, internal and external customers and business partners while managing a variety of priorities. Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal teams (Sales, Credit, Legal and Operations) to gain a thorough understanding of the transaction while ensuring compliance to company policies.
- Using high attention to detail, review documentation packages received and key data in the system accurately.
- Gather, analyze and format spreadsheets and data in Excel.
- Find process improvements to gain efficiency in the booking process.
- Write and conduct test scripts for new booking functions released in the system to ensure accuracy and business continuity.
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary education combined with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively with a high sense of urgency.
- Ability to proactively assess situations and translate these into results-oriented solutions.
- Proficiency using Excel at an intermediate level.
- Experience with and proven track record of process review and optimization.
- Bilingual (French/English) is an asset
