ASSISTANT SAWMILL OPERATIONS MANAGER
We are seeking an
Assistant Operations Manager to join our sawmill leadership team located in the beautiful community of Doaktown, New Brunswick and support continuous improvement related to safety, quality, and production. The successful candidate will provide exceptional leadership to a team of frontline operations supervisors to meet and exceed our business KPI’s while promoting employee engagement, teamwork, and safety. The Assistant Manager will be involved in operational planning and o versee budgets to ensure good cost control and decision making. The Assistant Manager will also maintain continuous improvement program and maintenance systems to maximize quality and performance . You will work with the latest technology and experts in the field to produce quality products and meet production goals.
As the ideal candidate, you possess a minimum of 4 years of management experience, ideally in manufacturing environment, and good project management skills. You hold an associate’s or bachelor’s degree along with a willingness to obtain Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Leveraging superior communication skills (both written and verbal), you lead with influence and can communicate with all levels of the organization adapting quickly to change. You are big picture leader and an exceptional problem solver who can identify and seize new opportunities. You pride yourself on your ability to deliver results and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
