The Department of Health is seeking individuals to fill current and future, temporary and permanent Administrative Assistant opportunities throughout various teams in Fredericton.

We are looking for an energetic team player who takes initiative, displays problem-solving and decision making abilities, who has excellent organizational skills and who is able to maintain a positive, professional attitude in an evolving work environment.

As an Administrative Assistant you will:

  • Provide support to various professionals as well as management.
  • Prepare, format, track, and edit correspondence.
  • Answer telephone calls from the public, senior level officials, other Departments and outside agencies.
  • Process invoices and expense accounts.
  • Schedule and prioritize appointments, teleconferences, as well as make travel arrangements.
  • Prepare agendas, take minutes, format reports and presentations.
  • Completion of various forms, record-keeping, and document filing.
  • Perform various other related duties as required.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, supplemented by the successful completion of a one-year post-secondary diploma in a related field and a minimum of three (3) years related experience to include experience in Microsoft Office Suite;
  • OR a High school diploma, and a minimum of four (4) years of related experience to include experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability on your application.

R̩sum̩s should be in chronological order specifying education and employment in months and years including part-time and full-time employment.

Salary: $1,625 to $1971 bi-weekly (ASL 3)
