DEPARTMENT: Addiction Services - InpatientBARGAINING UNIT: CUPEJOB TYPE: Permanent part-timeSCHEDULE: Day, Evening, Weekend, Rotation, Other, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: French essential and spoken EnglishNOTE: Applicants must attach a resume to their application.Job SummaryReporting to the Manager of Addiction Services, the incumbent works closely with the nurse and the multidisciplinary team. Provides direct client care, supports the client in their process and informs them to promote their personal development and wellness. Ensures the workplace is healthy, safe and therapeutic.NB Additional duties could be assigned to ensure the department runs smoothly.RequirementsSecondary school diploma or general training (GED) and an additional course in health care or community integration of greater than six months and up to one year in length or equivalent; Basic Life Support Training (BLS), Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (CPI) and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) or acquisition of the required competencies as soon as training is available and maintenance of these competencies; Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite software and ability to use;Recent and direct experience in the addiction field (drug addiction) considered an asset;In-depth knowledge of the drug addiction and compulsive gambling phenomenon;Ability to follow written and verbal instructions;Resourcefulness, initiative, sound judgment and discernment in setting priorities; Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively;Group facilitation skills;Ability to work independently and as part of a team;Physical ability to perform assigned work;Good work history (performance and attendance);Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy and organizational values;Adherence to Vitalité Health Network's confidentiality rules.The above requirements may be verified through oral, written or practical tests during the selection process.Should there be no fully qualified applicants, this position will not necessarily be reposted.
