As an Accounting Technician, Privately Held Business Group your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with colleagues to provide exceptional service to clients under varying reporting frameworks across different industries and sectors
• Planning, preparing and executing financial statement reviews and compilations, including budget and resource requirement
• Completing monthly and annual bookkeeping for clients (preparation and advisory) and assisting with payroll and HST calculations
• Preparing various types of tax returns and responding to CRA requests for information
• Contributing to the building of our reputation as the preferred business advisors in key sectors of our growing practice
• Supervising, coaching and providing timely feedback to junior team members on diverse engagements
• Other duties as required

At Grant Thornton, we’re committed to ensuring our compensation practices are fair, equitable and competitive. To get the conversation started, we’re happy to share that our current annual base salary for this role ranges from $40,000 - $48,000.
