Job Summary
Domestic Workers in long-term care work as a part of the Housekeeping team to ensure the facilities are safe, clean and maintained. This primarily includes scrubbing and refinishing floors, cleaning and disinfecting patient and public areas, operating housekeeping equipment and machinery, bed carbolizing and general office cleaning as required.

Regularly lifts/moves objects/supplies between 10-25 lbs., and occasionally between 22 - 44 lbs.
Regularly uses body movement to bend, crouch, kneel and reach, as well as frequent standing/walking and firm grasping. Uses, pushes and pulls with medium forces with firm grasping automatic and manual cleaning equipment.
Regularly completes repetitive tasks requiring attentiveness and alertness when handling various chemicals used for cleaning.
Job Qualifications
Graduation from high school or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively.
Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
A valid Class 4 driver's license is required
A satisfactory record of work performance is required
