We are seeking a Salt Truck Operator for our winter maintenance crew. As the Salt Truck Operator, you will perform ice control operations for various clients across the Riverview, Moncton, and Dieppe areas.

Job Summary
Our Salt Truck Operator utilize our specialized equipment to apply de-icing materials on pavement surfaces in order to provide maximum value and safety for our clients' locations. This position is seasonal and on-call in nature.

Responsibilities
WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Use equipment to carry out de-icing operations in parking lots & walkways
• Communicate with management using online forms & checklists
• Communicate job status daily with the Operations Manager
• Maintain a safe, hazard-free job site
• Additional tasks as required

Qualifications
WHAT YOU BRING

• A New Brunswick driver’s license with a clean driving record (Driver’s Abstract is required) and a reliable mode of transportation
• You are a self-motivated, critical thinker that likes to problem solve
• You understand the importance of punctuality, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role with lots of walking, bending, and lifting (up to 75lbs)
• Ability to work well independently unsupervised
• Past experience with salt spreaders is an asset
• An Engineering educational background is an asset
