Home health care worker
Job Description
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Monitor patients' health and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals
- Keep records of patients' progress and provide emotional support and companionship
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses and therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Administer medicine
- Inspect wounds and change dressings
- Assist patients in performing physical therapy exercises and with administering medication based on doctor’s orders
- Dress or redress open wounds and assess progress of healing
- Listen to the patient and respond to concerns or requests
