Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the food service industry, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring that our team delivers delicious food, maintains a clean and organized environment, and provides outstanding service to our valued customers.
Hours: 30 per week
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff, including kitchen and front-of-house personnel
- Train new employees on company policies, procedures, and food safety standards
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
- Monitor food quality and presentation to meet company standards
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and assembly during peak hours
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of daily sales, inventory, and employee schedules
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, discuss performance goals, and address any issues or concerns
- Implement strategies to increase sales, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction
- Assist with special events, promotions, and marketing initiatives as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality management is an asset
- Minimum of 7 months to 1 year of experience in a supervisory role in the food service industry
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic math skills and proficiency in using POS systems and computer software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
