Food service supervisor

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team and help us maintain our high standards of quality and service.

Job Description: We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Food Service Supervisor to oversee our restaurant operations and ensure a positive dining experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the food service industry, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding service. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will play a key role in leading our team, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and driving sales and profitability.

HOURS: 35 TO 40 HOURS PER WEEK 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff, including servers, cooks, and cashiers
  • Train new employees on food preparation techniques, customer service procedures, and safety protocols
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner
  • Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
  • Schedule staff shifts and assign duties to ensure adequate coverage
  • Conduct regular inspections of the restaurant to ensure cleanliness and safety
  • Enforce company policies and procedures, including cash handling and security protocols
  • Assist with cashiering duties during peak hours or staff shortages
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and profitability

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality management is a plus
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role in the food service industry
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Basic math skills and familiarity with cash handling procedures
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
