Job Description: We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Food Service Supervisor to oversee our restaurant operations and ensure a positive dining experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the food service industry, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding service. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will play a key role in leading our team, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and driving sales and profitability.
HOURS: 35 TO 40 HOURS PER WEEK
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff, including servers, cooks, and cashiers
- Train new employees on food preparation techniques, customer service procedures, and safety protocols
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Schedule staff shifts and assign duties to ensure adequate coverage
- Conduct regular inspections of the restaurant to ensure cleanliness and safety
- Enforce company policies and procedures, including cash handling and security protocols
- Assist with cashiering duties during peak hours or staff shortages
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and profitability
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality management is a plus
- Previous experience in a supervisory role in the food service industry
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Basic math skills and familiarity with cash handling procedures
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
