THE POSITION
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a
Financial Service Administrator. In this role, you will be the primary contact for new and potential members (customers) of OMISTA Credit Union. The FSA will be responsible for assisting members in opening various types of accounts, providing information on financial products and services, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience. As a member of the Financial Services Team of our Branch Network, you will work with professional and skilled individuals who work together to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our members.
Responsibilities
Account Opening:
- Guide new members through the account opening process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of required documentation.
- Conduct new account interviews with the intent to understand the member's needs and wants.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless transition for new members.
Sales Support And Administration
- Perform credit investigations, make recommendations based on member needs, verify required information, and process applications- adhering to established Credit Union policies.
- Assist Financial Service Representatives in the preparation of documents including but not limited to mortgage instructions for solicitors, mortgage amendments and loan extensions.
Member Service And Sales
- Respond to member inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively. The FSA will provide information on available Credit Union products and services- tailoring recommendations to meet the individual needs of the member.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Qualifications
- Exceptional Customer Service skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Strong Computer Skills.
- Good understanding of financial terminology and financial principles.
- Positive outlook and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ideally has a minimum of two years of working in a financial service setting.
Education and Training
- College diploma or university degree in a business discipline or sufficient experience in lieu of education.
