Babysitter/nanny

Job Description

Our loving family is looking for a part-time nanny to provide care to our toddler and 2 school aged children, after they get home from school. Hiring ASAP, to start February 27, 2024. This is a temporary contract for about 6-8 weeks. The right candidate will be reliable, nurturing, bubbly, and carry a positive attitude.

We are open to candidates that have 1 child of their own to bring with them. Candidate will be coming to our home located in Shediac, New Brunswick.

Job Hours:

Monday-Thursday from 10:45am - approximately 5:00pm (sometimes could be 5:30pm)

Responsibilities:

- Provide attentive and responsible care for children in a safe and nurturing environment including but not limited to:

• toileting and diaper changing
• dressing (clothes)
• putting child down to nap

- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, such as games, crafts, and educational play

- Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children

- Daily time outside

- Safety while out in the neighbourhood

- Picking up children from bus stop (5 minute walk)

- Maintain a clean and organized environment for the children, including tidying up toys and cleaning up after meals

- Follow any specific instructions or routines provided by parents

Skills:

- Experience working with children of various ages

- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both children and parents

- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR (preferred)

- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children

- Ability to provide a safe and secure environment for children under your care

- Willingness to engage in educational activities with the children

- Valid driver's license and own vehicle required.

• Is legally entitled to work in Canada for more than 20 hours a week.
• Pay based on experience and compatibility.
