Licensed Practical Nurse
Job Description
Valley View Villa is currently hiring for Casual Licensed Practical Nurses at our facility in Stellarton, Nova Scotia. The successful applicants will be directly involved in meeting the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the residents in accordance with our companies objectives, policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personal care to assigned residents
- Charting and Timely reporting of residents condition to Charge Nurse.
- Lifting, Transferring, and Transporting residents as required.
- Administering of treatments under direction of Charge Nurse.
- Supporting residents daily care needs.
- Provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, according to infection control and Occupational Health and Safety Guidelines.
- Support RN's and Charge Nurses with duties as assigned.
- Adhere to compliance guidelines as outlined by provincial and company guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Registration with College of Nurses Nova Scotia
- CPR - Level C
- Experience in long term care setting considered an asset but not a requirement.
- Ability to work with Residents with various health concerns.

- Ability to work and contribute productively in a team environment
Additional Requirements:
- Current and clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check
- Willing to work shift work on an as needed basis
- Proof of Covid- 19 vaccination is required to enter our resident’s home.
