Midland Transport Limited has become a leader in the transportation industry by providing superior quality service to our customers. Our services include LTL, T/L, Courier Services, and Third-Party Logistics/ Brokerage which provide the convenience of one-stop shipping.
Midland Transport is looking for a motivated summer student to join our team as a Customer Service Representative based at our head office location in Dieppe, NB.
We are looking for someone who has the drive to go above and beyond in providing Superior Quality Service for our customers. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing one call resolution in responding to inquiries from our toll-free customer service line as well as our website.
The position is Monday to Friday day shift for the summer (approximately May 2nd - August 26, depending on your school requirements)
Who You Are:
- You are pursuing a post-secondary degree/diploma and have a good academic standing
- You are bilingual (French and English)
- You have exceptional verbal, written and listening communication skills
- You have strong attention to details with great organizational and management skills
- You are able to work effectively and efficiently with both internal and external customers
- You are a self-starter, problem solver and can work independently as well as in a team atmosphere
- You have proficient knowledge of MS Office
- Previous customer service experience is a definite asset, but not required
What You Will Do:
- Respond to incoming customer inquiries (phone and emails) in a professional and timely manner, with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Identify and resolve client concerns and issues while maintaining Superior Quality Service
- Enter pickups and deliveries into our transportation systems in a timely and precise manner
- Coordinate special movement of freight, trace shipments and research adjustments
- Administrative duties related to customer service
