OWNER/OPERATOR

SCHEDULE: As assigned

OVERALL PURPOSE:

To participate in the safe, accurate and timely processing of deliveries to meet LOOMIS EXPRESS on-time performance standards.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Delivery and Pick-Up of Freight/Packages

· Make all reasonable efforts to meet established delivery times

· Perform safety checks on truck before each use

· Ensure proper maintenance of truck

· Operate truck/van as required

· Scanner usage

· Customer service

· Be able to lift heavy packages/freight as required

· Other duties as assigned and as detailed within the CBA & business agreement

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School education
• Valid provincial driver’s license
• Must have a clean driver’s abstract
• Must own or be willing to obtain own vehicle that meets company specifications
• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks (getting in and out of truck/van, lifting/delivering packages/freight by hand and/or with use of hand cart
• Flexible to work routes assigned
